Let’s go plinkin’! \nPresented in partnership with: Preppers Meet\, Canadian Preppers Network and Great Ape Empire. \n \nEvent Details:\n\nPAL (Possession and Acquisition License) holders may bring their own 22LR rifles and ammunition\nA firearms license (PAL) is NOT required for this event\nCamping for the entire weekend is available at $20 per person\nFree admission for children under 16 as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult\n\nAdditional Information:\n\nGreat Ape Empire is a full service outfitter\, so there will be availability of bathrooms\, a hot field shower\, food and other camping supplies on-site\nRecommended gear: Eye protection (any kind of eye wear will do\, prescription or not)\, ear protection\, closed footwear (sandals NOT recommended) for any kind of weather\, because we will shoot rain or shine!\n\nWho is this for anyway?\n\nNew PAL holders ready for the next step: How do I shoot the rifle\, or which rifle should I buy? Which will I like to handle and shoot?\nPeople who’ve successfully passed the CFSC exam and are waiting for their PAL but want to start learning to shoot right away:  Three months is a looooong time!\nAnyone (no license required) curious to learn the fundamentals of shooting a rifle in many different ways before committing to the Canadian process of going to a course\, passing the exams\, followed by a background check and a bit of a wait before you can purchase and try it out!\n\nSafety Notes\n\nZero tolerance for alcohol or drug use before or during the event. You will be barred from the event without a refund\, this is for safety reasons. Do everything you want afterwards. This includes any legal and prescription drugs that impair motor skills\, focus\, attention\, and judgement.\nZero tolerance for horseplay or disrespect for safety rules during the event.\n\nPAL and Hunter Safety Course Information\n\nGreat Ape Empire will hold a Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) on Friday\, Sept. 11th\, 2026. Course is $180 per person. Interested individuals can email Eugene\, the instructor\, directly at ecn.underhill@gmail.com. Minimum age for the CFSC is 12. Maximum number of students is 10\, first come first served. Class starts Friday at 7:45AM\, ends at 5PM for testing.\nGreat Ape Empire will also hold an Ontario Hunter Safety Course on Sunday\, Sept. 13th\, 2026. Course is $180 per person. Interested individuals can email Eugene\, the instructor\, directly at ecn.underhill@gmail.com. Minimum age for the Ontario Hunter Safety Course is 12. Course starts Sunday at 7:45AM and ends at 3PM.
