Primal Skills Introduction

Course Description: In this introductory survival and bushcraft course, students will learn to select a site, make a shelter, build a fire, and find/make potable water.
Learning Outcomes: By completing this course, students will be able to:
- Select an appropriate improvised campsite to stop and rest
- Build an improvised shelter with materials and tools at hand
- Gather and select the required materials with which to build and then ignite a fire
- Find water

Target audiences
- General public, couples, families, children, team building events
Requirements
- Ability to displace yourself to the training location.
- Ability to walk in uneven ground and rocky terrain.
- Footwear providing adequate support for hiking in hilly terrain or slippery terrain with potentially unstable surfaces, such as undisturbed forest.
- Basic hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to safely handle a knife.
- A learning attitude.
- Recommended: your EDC gear, including some kind of knife.
