Introduction to Emergency Planning

Course Description: In this introductory course, students will learn to evaluate the threats and assess the risks facing themselves and their families, to plan and prepare for a variety of emergencies and unknowns.
Learning Outcomes: By completing this course, students will be able to:
- Remain appraised of current events around you without getting sucked into the news cycle, while focusing on what matters most for emergency preparations
- Understand the priorities you should focus on when planning for emergencies, whether they be short-term or long-term
- Perform your own threat and risk assessments in order to make preparation decisions in a calm rational and structured manner, based on known and accepted best practices used in government and industry.
- Understand and apply the techniques to a variety of scenarios where you will take home the results of your planning to continue on preparing yourself and your family

- General public, couples, families, children, team building events
Requirements
- A learning attitude.
- Some kind of note taking apparatus or device. Use a clay tablet and stylus if you like, though some will prefer to record, or take notes using pen and paper.
