Preparing for Grid Down

Course Description: In this introductory course, students will learn to prepare for a variety of grid-down scenarios based on real world events and history.
Learn how to prioritize and plan for the unavailability of a variety of services that our modern civilization has had for a long time, which many of us take for granted.
Learning Outcomes: By completing this course, students will be able to:
- Understand historical events where the grid failed and how it impacted affected areas
- Prioritize preparations for a variety of potential scenarios while keeping a calm head, and saving money.
- Understand how to protect your family, store water, food, and necessaries in advance of grid-down
- Understand the factors to help you decide when to bug in vs. when to bug out.
- Minimize your reliance on available services in order to reduce the impact of the unavailability of those services

Requirements
- A learning attitude.
- Some kind of note taking apparatus or device. Use a clay tablet and stylus if you like :), though some will prefer to record, or take notes using pen and paper.
